Who doesn't love a good bargain? We sure do! Don't fret - there is no need to go broke when shopping! There are many discounted stores around, with all the brands we love. Some of my favorites are TJ Maxx and Marshalls. They carry high quality items at deeply discounted prices. You can find anything from clothing to home goods, as well as beauty products at steep discounts. Here is a list of some of my favorite tips to make your next TJ Maxx and Marshalls shopping experience the best one yet!
During these months, the stores are trying to clean out their inventory to make room for new seasonal items. In January, you can find winter/holiday items on sale, and around July/August time, you’ll come across summer items, like pool accessories, outdoor furniture, as well as summer clothing & outdoor decor, all at rock bottom prices.
When walking into a Marshalls or TJ Maxx store you might notice different colored price tags. Don't ignore them - they actually mean something! This is what all these colored tags represent:
Red tagged items in Marshalls & T.J.Maxx are the items on clearance. Women's, men's and children's wear all go on clearance, as well as jewelry and accessories. You can generally save more than 50% of a red tagged item.
The yellow tags are the lowest price you will see on that specific item! So grab it while you can! It means that a price is it's absolute lowest, and won't be marked down any further. You will not receive a better discount than this!
When spotting a purple tag in a store, it may not be the cheapest item you will find, but it is a designer item at a very discounted price. I know you will be tempted to wait until those designer items are reduced further, and if you are a risk taker you can wait it out, because purple tagged items (aka the runway line) goes on clearance around a month after it arrives at the stores. So make sure to check back on those items you had an eye on. They carry many brands from Vince, Rag and Bone, and I've even found deals on items from Salvatore Ferragamo!
